Tech Tips – Adjusting Height of Power Tailgate

Hey everyone, this is Andy, your Shop Foreman here at Focus Hyundai with another Tech Tip. This one will be how to set a pre-determined plane on your power tailgate.

To start, all you have to do is open the tailgate. This will open to the default position, which will be fully open to its highest point. Whenever you want to change the top height of the power tailgate, you just need to manually lower to tailgate into the appropriate position for you and hold the power tailgate button until it beeps a couple times.

Now close the power gate. The new height will now be the default position. And if you ever want to change it again, just move it to the appropriate height and press & hold the power tailgate button. That’s it!
